Paulo de Sousa
Born in Africa from Portuguese parents, I make a mark where I can.
Returning to my native Zambia following studies in Portugal and South Africa, where I obtained a BA in Industrial Engineering. I tirelessly pursued a dream of waking Zambia up to the world of quality entertainment. Found full-time work in a myriad of jobs; steadily moving up the corporate ladder, while laboring my reverie of determinedly succeeding with passion to be a meaningful part of the entertainment industry.
With "theatre" in my blood from age six, endeavoring to continually add to Lusaka's vague/sectored social scene, I established the groundwork for the beauty and fashion industry, engulfed myself in the arts, stage, television, radio, film and reporting/writing for newspaper, magazines (national and International) and even a book.
My body of performance work has been exposed in Zambia, Portugal, United Kingdom, United States, Zimbabwe, Canada and Botswana.
Reaching a peak in my Homeland, I finally abandoned security, landing in New York in January of 2001, to study at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute.
And then there is the here and now!
